The 2015 Federal Employees’ Basic Program will be held at the William W. Winpisinger (WWW) Education and Technology Center, in Hollywood, MD, during the weeks of February 8-13 and March 8-13, 2015. A Federal Employees’ Advanced Program will be held February 22-27, 2015.
The Federal Employees’ Basic Program provides training specific to federal sector workers in areas such as collective bargaining, the Hatch Act and legislative action, prohibited personnel practices, grievance handling, arbitration and an overview of the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA). The Federal Employees’ Advanced Program builds upon the Basic Program and includes preparations for the Merit System Protection Board (MSPB), negotiability appeals, impasse procedures and a more in-depth look at the FLRA.
The program is helpful to stewards, officers and business representatives that service members in the federal sector.
Because space in the class is limited to 30 participants, only those who have not previously attended this program will be enrolled. Participants will be chosen on a first come basis, therefore it is extremely important that the enrollment form for each authorized lodge participant be completed and returned by the deadline for each class as listed below:
