Rep. LaTourette To Head House Rail Subcommittee As the 109th Congress convenes the House Railroads Subcommittee of the Transportation and Infrastructure Full Committee will be headed by Rep. Steve LaTourette (R-OH). He replaces Rep. Jack Quinn (R-NY) who retired from Congress. Rep. LaTourette was first elected to Congress in 1994. Since 2000, he has been chairman of the T&I subcommittee overseeing economic development, public buildings and emergency management. Rep. LaTourette has a 44% Right RCPL voting record through the 108th Congress. Rep. Don Young (R-AK) continues as the Chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Rep. James Oberstar (D-MN) will continue as the ranking Democratic member and Rep. Corrine Brown (D-FL) continues as the ranking Democratic member on the railroad subcommittee |
