Salt Lake City Local 568 Raises Over $5k for Guide Dogs


More than 90 cars participated in IAM Local 568’s 6th annual car show in Stansbury Park, UT, in support of Guide Dogs of America.

IAM Local 568 raised $5,500 at its 6th annual car show in support of Guide Dogs of America in Stansbury Park, UT. The support from the community was overwhelming with over 90 cars participating and 33 awards.

“This has been our best show to date,” said Grand Lodge Representative (GLR) Mike Wardle. “A huge thank you goes out to Local Lodge 568 President Andy Allen, all of the volunteers and the community at large for coming out to support the Guide Dogs.”

IAM Local 568, which represents over 600 members in a variety of industries, has built on the continued success of their annual car show for the past six years.

IAM Western Territory General Vice President Gary Allen thanked GLR Wardle and the Local 568 leadership for “opening their hearts and lending a hand to such a worthy cause.”

Guide Dogs of America is a nonprofit organization, founded by a Machinist, that provides guide dogs and instruction in their use, free-of-charge, to blind and visually-impaired men and women from the United States and Canada.
