San Francisco Hotel Lockout Continues

11-18-04 – Unite Here members continue to be locked out by 14 San Francisco hotels in their continuing battle to obtain a fair contract. Kaiser Permanente of Northern California has announced that it will continue health care services for the next two months to the locked out members. This amounts to about 8,000 people.

In other news involving Unite Here’s attempt to reach contracts for its members; Los Angeles workers have called for a boycott of 9 luxury hotels. Washington, DC negotiators are making slow progress in contract negotiations. In Oahu Island, Hawaii, the workers at Turtle Bay Resort have been picketing for a fair contract.
