The IAM will gather to observe Workers’ Memorial Day and remember those who have suffered and died on the job. We will also commit to fighting until all workers have safe jobs and the freedom to form unions to seek a better future.

What: IAM Workers’ Memorial Day
When: 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019
Where: William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center Lighthouse Monument, 24494 Placid Harbor Way, Hollywood, MD 20636
We will toll a bell in honor of each of our lost members whose lives were ended due to occupational injuries or illnesses and give special recognition to those who have advocated for our members. Two members who lost their lives in a February 2019 workplace shooting at the Henry Pratt Co. in Aurora, IL and two members who passed during a July 2018 workplace explosion at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA will be among those honored.
The names of IAM members who have died on the job will be memorialized with a brick for free. Click here to download the form.
