The second annual AFL-CIO Next Up Young Worker Summit will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011, through Sunday, October 2, 2011, at the Hilton Minneapolis in Minneapolis, MN.
This year’s theme is “Educating, Empowering, and Mobilizing Young Workers for a Just 21st Century Economy.” Hundreds of young workers, ages 18-35, focused on building a collective vision for a new generation of working will come together to develop skills to meet the challenges facing the future of the labor movement; strengthen leadership skills; create young worker groups; build student-labor coalitions; stand with Wisconsin and workers across the country; and discuss strategies for Election 2012.
The deadline to register is September 1st. Hotel rooms at the Hilton Minneapolis are available for a special room rate of $134.95 (tax included) per night.
