On behalf of the entire Transportation Communications Union, I want to express deep sadness at the terrible events of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. We offer our hearts, our support and our prayers to everyone who has lost loved ones and friends. We feel the sorrow, the pain and the loss. We feel the outrage.

During this national crisis it is important that we stand united. Our Union expresses its unwavering support for President Bush and Congress as they work together to bring those responsible for these horrible acts to justice. We stand ready to do what we can to help.

To those who perpetrated this evil on our nation, I say, “We are not afraid.” We are a strong nation and our spirit cannot be crushed.
