Mike Rose joined the International Woodworkers of America (IWA) in 1980 after being hired at International Paper Company in Reedsport OR where he served as shop steward and chief steward. When the IWA merged with the IAM in 1994, Mike became a Business Representative for Local Lodge W-261 inNorth Bend, OR until 1998 when he then became an Organizer for Woodworkers District Lodge W-1 in Gladstone, OR.
Rose joined the Organizing Department staff on June 1, 2008 as a Special Representative.
Mike resides in Elkton , Oregon with his wife Tamma and has raised four children Shannon, Mindy, Andrea and Kurtis.
