TCU/IAM kicked off Women’s History Month, focusing on the TCU/IAM FIERCE committee, which stands for Female Initiative for Education, Real Change, and Equality. This committee, comprised of TCU’s Local Chairwomen, is a beacon of support and advocacy for our Union Sisters. Their dedication ensures that every voice is heard and amplified within our union.
March is not just a month on the calendar; it’s a celebration of resilience, progress, and the spirit of women throughout history. As we embark on another Women’s History Month, it’s fitting to spotlight initiatives embodying the essence of empowerment and equality.
TCU/IAM is unique in the Rail Industry, as 20% of our membership is female, and we have 260 women in Local Lodge Officer Positions across our lodges.
“Our FIERCE Sisters embody the strength, resilience, and determination that defines the essence of Women’s History Month.,” said TCU/IAM National President Artie Maratea. “They are the driving force behind real change and progress within our union. This month, we extend a heartfelt thank you to our FIERCE Sisters and all our Union Sisters everywhere. Your commitment, leadership, and unwavering spirit inspire us all to strive for a future where we can continue to break barriers, shatter stereotypes, and build a world where every woman’s voice is valued and respected.”
