Tell Congress to Stop Sequestration, Oppose Cuts to Soc. Security, Medicare and Medicaid

Congress has until the end of the year to strike a deal avoiding across-the-board, mandatory spending cuts known as “sequestration” and a series of expiring tax measures.
The so-called “fiscal cliff” threatens to prolong the Great Recession if Congress refuses to act. Trillion dollar cuts to the defense sector, alone, are expected to cost us more than a million jobs.
Republican lawmakers have proposed deep, swift budget cuts to social programs like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid as a way to avoid the fiscal cliff.
But we must not allow the GOP to balance the budget on the backs of working families.
Tell Congress and the White House any “Grand Bargain” must stop sequestration while protecting the middle class.
