Tell Congress to Support Transportation Equity

Transportation infrastructure links us to the places we need to go.

We count on the construction and maintenance of highways, roads and bridges, as well as bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure to connect us to jobs, schools, housing, health care, grocery stores and more. But political uncertainty in Washington, DC has slowed or stopped work on critical projects our nation depends on, putting jobs at risk and slowing future investment.

The neglect of transportation infrastructure needs is “so pervasive, it threatens our economic future,” says Edward Wytkind, President of the AFL-CIO Transportation Trades Department.

Enter the GROW AMERICA Act 2.0. The bill, now under consideration in the Senate Budget Committee, provides crucial funding for U.S. transportation infrastructure and expands access to transportation jobs for low-income people, women, people with disabilities, and communities of color.

TELL WASHINGTON: Today, April 9, is Speak Up for Transportation Day! Call senators today (202-224-3121) and urge them to speak up for transportation by asking their colleagues on the Senate Budget Committee to support the GROW AMERICA Act 2.0 as the model for transportation equity.
