Tennessee Strikers to Vote on Revised Contract Offer
December 13, 2012
A vote will take place on December 13 on an improved contract offer which, if approved, would end a five-day strike by about 1,100 IAM members at Goodman Manufacturing in Fayetteville, TN.
The walkout by members of Local 2385 in Fayetteville began on December 8, after members voted to reject an offer from the air conditioner manufacturer that contained significant increases in employee health care costs and failed to address workers’ respect on the job concerns.
Voting on the revised contract offer will be at 6 pm on December 13 and results will be posted on the Local 2385 website at iam2385.org.
