WASHINGTON, Feb. 13, 2024 –– The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) New York State Council of Machinists extends its congratulations to Tom Suozzi on his victory in the special election for New York’s 3rd Congressional District.
The Transportation Communication Union (TCU/IAM), which represents thousands of rail workers in the district, also joined the IAM in endorsing and mobilizing for Suozzi’s return to Congress.
The IAM released the following statement:
“Tom Suozzi’s unwavering commitment to workers’ rights, economic growth, and social justice resonates deeply with the IAM and the broader community. Throughout his career, Suozzi has demonstrated steadfast dedication to championing the interests of working families, ensuring fair wages, and creating opportunities for all.
“The 3rd Congressional District, encompassing portions of Nassau County and Queens, holds a pivotal role in representing the different interests of its constituents.
