A Labor Day Message from GVP Pantoja

Labor Day is the time to honor our IAM members for their hard work and solidarity which has given us competitive wages, healthcare for our families and dignity in the workplace. As we know, corporations do not give money to their workers out of the goodness of their hearts. Labor unions have fought for and set the standards in salaries, benefits and working conditions that all workers, union and non-union, enjoy around the world.

 

The Machinists Union is proud that one of our members founded Labor Day. Our IAM-represented transportation workers today display the same commitment as their predecessors. On behalf of the Transportation Department, I am grateful for all you do in preserving and bettering the lives of all working class families.
