Call Your Senators Today and Protect Customer Service Representatives!

The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee last night adopted the Airline Customer Service Amendment into the Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization Bill. This amendment would require all commercial airlines to adopt an “Employee Assault Prevention and Response Plan” so Customer Service Agents get much-needed protection from physical abuse.

“IAM members did a great job yesterday getting this passed in the house against fierce opposition from the airline industry,” said GVP Pantoja. “But our work is not done. Today we must focus on calling our Senators.”

The next step is Thursday when the Senate Commerce Committee considers its version of the bill.
