Texas Local 2771 Members Ratify First Contract

The 127 new IAM members at Sheppard AFB, TX, recently ratified a first contract with Defense Support Services LLC (DS2). The members belong to Local Lodge 2771 in Wichita Falls, TX.
The new three-year contract includes general wage increases of 3.5 percent in each year, cuts health insurance costs in half and brings vacation and leave provisions up to IAM Service Contract standards. The contract also forms an Employee Safety Committee.
“This is a good, strong IAM contract that will show other workers at Sheppard that an IAM contract is the way to go,” said District 776 Business Representative David Webb.
“I’d like to thank Brother Webb and negotiators Jamie Wallace and Mike Green for a job well done,” said Southern Territory GVP Bob Martinez. “Our service contracts in the South continue to bring a higher standard of living and job security for our members.”
