This premiere convention will not only highlight the valuable work that LCLAA is doing, but it will also serve as the main platform for Latino labor leaders to organize around the issues that Latino working families are facing in the upcoming election cycle.

LCLAA’s strength is not only in its work nationally, but also in the advocacy efforts of chapters across the country. Increasing grassroots organizing and engaging members to take action in their communities is one its most important priorities.

Now more than ever, the labor movement needs to grow and increase its appeal to young workers and LCLAA has a vital role to play in this growth. Latinos represent the youngest members of the U.S. workforce and are quickly becoming a key to the future of the labor movement.

Training sessions, workshops and discussions this year will revolve around key priorities requiring greater public awareness, civic participation, and strategies for advancing an agenda for shared prosperity.
