After three months of negotiations, recently organized members employed by Trailboss at Hill and Nellis AFB ratified their first Collective Bargaining Agreements.
IAM Western Territory Grand Lodge Representatives Don Gresham and Mike Wardle, along with Andy Allen, President of Local Lodge 568, as well as the organizing and negotiations committees of Local Lodges 568 and 845, worked tirelessly to organize and then win a first contract for the workers.
“In the current economic climate, I am happy to report that we were able to go from organizing new members at two units to obtaining first contracts at both locations within six months!” said Wardle. “This would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the organizing and negotiating committees at both locations. Special thanks to Andy Allen, President of Local Lodge 568 in Salt Lake City, Utah. His work with the members at Hill AFB was critical to organizing these workers.”
“Congratulations to the members working for Trailboss at Hill and Nellis AFB,” said Gary Allen, Western Territory General Vice President. “Thank you to all who contributed to this effort. The teamwork utilized in the process was exceptional and I look forward to seeing these members becoming active within their Union.”
