IAM Local Lodge 2781 (Eddyville, KY) member Gene Barnes and his dad, Harlyn Barnes, will be featured Sunday, January 5 at 11 a.m. ET on “Brotherhood Outdoors,” a TV show on the Sportsman Channel sponsored by the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA).

Gene dedicated the hunt to the memory of his brother Greg, who passed in April 2013.
Recalling the times his dad had taken his brother and himself hunting and fishing, Gene knew this elk hunt would be a chance not only to provide his father with an opportunity to achieve the longtime goal of bagging an elk, but an occasion to recall memories of Greg.
Following the passing of his brother, members at Local 2781 raised $10,000 to benefit Greg’s wife and children.
“This is where I’m truly blessed to be a union member,” said Gene.
