Union Workers Should Be Proud

11-18-04 – The 2004 Election is history and the next four years will be a challenge for America’s Labor Unions and their members. Over 115 million Americans voted this year. Of this number approximately 27 million of these voters were union members and members of their families. Read more

International Vice President and National Legislative Director Robert Davis said, “TCU members and all union workers should be proud of their efforts in this election.” Union members and their families accounted for 24% of the votes cast in the presidential election. Of this number 65% voted in favor of Senator John Kerry. Davis continued by stating, “America’s unions and their members overwhelmingly delivered for John Kerry and John Edwards.”

In the Gubernatorial and Congressional races over 67% of the RCPL endorsed candidates were elected. This is a very high percentage. These are individuals who have proven that they will work with TCU on issues of most importance to TCU members.
