Veterans Day: In Honor of All Those Who Have Served

Monday, November 11, 2013 is Veterans Day. Please take time out to honor the men and women in the armed forces who are serving and have served our nation.

“IAM members and our nation cannot thank enough those among us who serve and have sacrificed so that others may live in freedom,” says IAM President Tom Buffenbarger. “The IAM is proud that many of our own members also serve their country as members of the armed forces. When duty calls, IAM members are always ready to respond.”

As the nation prepares for a day of remembrance and celebration of the men and women who risk their lives in service to our country, please also consider donating to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF). For the past eight years, the IAM and the VVMF have enjoyed a partnership formed around a mutual respect for the men and women who serve in America’s armed forces.

The VVMF has set a Veterans Day goal of 2,000 donors committed to keeping the stories and memories of the 58,286 men and women on The Wall alive for generations to come. By showing your support and making a donation today, you can receive one of three gifts: a VVMF wristband for a donation of $10 or more, a VVMF limited edition lapel pin for $25 or more, or a VVMF commemorative coin for $100 or more.
