Tabulation of the ballots is taking place at IAM Headquarters under the direct supervision of U.S. Department of Labor representatives.

The counting of IAM members’ votes for the election of IAM Grand Lodge Officers is underway and will proceed daily until all votes are tabulated. The count began May 7, 2014 at IAM Headquarters in Upper Marlboro, MD.

The tabulation is being performed under the direct supervision of U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) representatives. Candidates and others are being allowed to watch the counting and tabulation of ballots. Offices up for election include International President, General Secretary-Treasurer and in the United States, eight General Vice Presidents.

Results will be announced at the conclusion of the counting. These results, however, are subject to certification by the U.S. Department of Labor.

The first cart of ballots, just some of hundreds of boxes of ballots returned by IAM Local Lodges in the United States and Canada, is brought into the counting room at IAM Headquarters on May 7.
