Watch AFL-CIO ‘Next Up’ Summit Live

Be sure to tune in tonight at 5:00 pm (central time) for a live webcast of the AFL-CIO’s Second Annual Next Up Young Workers Summit in Minneapolis, MN.

Grab your very own front-row seat to watch as hundreds of young workers, organizers and students from across the country discuss ways to educate, empower and mobilize young workers for a just 21st century.

AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler and U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis will kick off the summit. Speakers also include actors Lucas Neff from Fox’s “Raising Hope” and RJ Mitte from the TV show “Breaking Bad.” Both are members of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and proud union activists.

The summit is being held Sept. 29th through Oct. 2nd. Workshops, plenaries and caucuses for the conference will focus on building a collective vision for a new generation of working people in the country. The current economic crisis is a main part of the agenda, as well as pathways to building a just economy and the ongoing attacks on workers’ rights from state legislatures.
