Workers at Port Angeles Aerospace Supplier Vote IAM

An overwhelming majority of 84 workers at Angeles Composite Technologies (ACT) in Port Angeles, WA, voted to join the IAM.

ACT supplies structural assemblies and components to aerospace companies, including Boeing, Bombardier, and Lockheed Martin.

“I would like to congratulate the workers at Angeles Composite Technologies and the staff of IAM District W24 who made this win possible,” said IAM Western General Vice President Gary Allen. “These new members recognize the value of an IAM contract. We welcome them to the Machinists Union.”

The vote must be certified by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), after which members will begin to negotiate a first contract.
