Kennedy Space Center Strike Set for 10 AM Today

Cape Canaveral, FL, June 14th, 2007 – 580 Machinists Union members at United Space Alliance are set to walk off the job at 10 A.M. EDT this morning to set up picket lines and start a strike at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) over a substandard contract proposal from the company.

“The company refused to change the offer,” said Local Lodge 2061 President Lew Jamieson. “We did everything we could to come to an agreement. Enough is enough – we won’t accept a substandard contract.”
