Angela Colaizzi joined the IAM Communications Department in May of 2022 from the United Steelworkers (USW), where she worked in the USW’s New Media Department since 2015.
Colaizzi is adept in professional writing, strategic communication, and digital organizing assistance through mass-texting, mass-email, website building, social media, and more.
She helps manage the IAM’s social media networks, building digital campaigns and promoting the union and its resources to members and the public. She also helps with internal and external communications, digital campaign tools and strategy, and writing for IAM publications.
As an activist and writer, Colaizzi found her calling lifting the voices of workers in the labor movement. She is also passionate about supporting the IAM’s Veterans Services program and IAM Women and Human Rights Department.
Colaizzi holds a bachelor’s degree in English language/literature and History from Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania.
