José’s dedication to his community and peers led him to become Chief Steward for District 98, Local 2367, where he tirelessly advocated for the rights and well-being of fellow workers. His commitment and leadership qualities were quickly recognized, propelling him to the position of Vice President within the same local lodge.

José’s journey in the labor movement continued to evolve as he embraced the role of a Union Organizer at District 98 (Eastern Territory), working diligently to empower workers and strengthen the labor movement. His expertise and tenacity earned him the position of Grand Lodge Associate Organizer within the IAM Organizing Department, where he continues to champion the rights and interests of workers across various industries.

In addition to his extensive experience, José holds diplomas/certificates from the William Winpisinger Education and Technology Center for successful completion of programs such as Leadership 1, Leadership 2, Organizing 1, Foundational Skills and Basic Training for Organizing. These achievements further highlight his commitment to personal and professional development.

José is not only a dedicated labor advocate but also fully bilingual in Spanish and English, which enables him to connect with and support a diverse range of workers and communities. His inspiring journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the labor movement and his tireless efforts to improve the lives of workers in his community and beyond.
