Aerospace workers from around the world need to join together like never before.
That was the resounding message from the world’s most powerful aerospace unions at the IndustriALL Global Union’s Aerospace Conference, held July 1-2 in Berlin. IAM delegates joined unions representing aerospace workers in 16 countries to lay the foundation for a worldwide aerospace worker movement to confront a global aerospace industry.
The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE), which represents members in the Passport Services Office of the Department of State, has long been fighting unfair distribution of financial awards by management in the office. NFFE Local 1998 earned a significant victory with a recent arbitrator’s ruling in the matter.
The Texas Labor-Management Conference (TXLMC) honored General Vice President Bob Martinez, Jr. last week by inducting him into the Texas Labor-Management Hall of Fame. The award recognizes members of labor, management, academia and government who have contributed to furthering strong labor-management relations in the Lone Star State.
