The IAM Veteran Services Department is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the Veteran’s Advocate Training, scheduled for Feb. 8-13, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. Registration must be submitted by Monday, Dec. 15, 2025.
This specialized program provides members with U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits training conducted by certified professionals. Participants who complete the course will become part of the IAM-wide Veteran Service Officer (VSO) team, a trusted network of trained advocates ready to assist IAM members who are U.S. military veterans.
Through this course, members acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to assist veterans in navigating the often-complex VA benefits system, ensuring that our brothers and sisters who served receive the support, resources, and respect they deserve.
Included in the call letter is the IAM policy outlining tuition, transportation, and curriculum details.
