IAM District 77 will return to the Street Machine Nationals at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds this summer, with Locals 459 and 737 supporting the effort.
The annual event, held on July 17-19, 2026, attracts thousands of car enthusiasts and families from across the region to celebrate classic cars, hot rods, and custom builds. IAM members will host a booth and sponsor the “IAM Cruise Route,” giving the union high visibility throughout the three-day event.
“This event is about more than cars, it’s about families, community, and connection,” said IAM District 77 Directing Business Representative Andrew Peltier. “When families stop by it creates a natural opportunity to talk about work, careers, and the value of having a voice on the job.”
The booth will offer union materials, giveaways, and family-friendly activities designed to spark conversations about the benefits of union membership and to introduce attendees to the IAM’s work.
IAM members and their families are encouraged to attend and help showcase the IAM’s strength and presence in the community.
