First Transit in Los Angeles Goes IAM

June 19, 2008 – District Lodge 947 welcomed 21 new members into the IAM after they voted overwhelmingly for the union. The members are employees of First Transit in Los Angeles, a division of First Group, Inc., which has taken a neutral stance with regard to organizing.
“Congratulations to DBR Richard Sanchez, and a special thanks to District Organizing Leader Felix Osuna and Grand Lodge Apprentice Organizer Larry Olinger for their efforts to help these new members realize their goal of forming a union,” said Western Territory GVP Lee Pearson.
