Job Cuts Up Last Month

October 4, 2006 – Outplacement firm Challenger, Gray and Christmas reported job cuts increased drastically last month, topping 100,000 for the first time since last January.
Job cuts in September were up 54 percent from August and up 40 percent from the same point last year.
