GSA Group Gets Ready for Negotiations

The popular Negotiation Preparation for Bargaining Committees class at the IAM’s William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology got off to a busy start in 2010 when members of the NFFE-IAM GSA Council Negotiating Team met last week to prepare proposals for the upcoming contract negotiations with the General Services Administration (GSA).

“The week was very positive and all team members worked diligently in developing language that best represents the needs of our membership,” said GSA Council President Jack Hanley. The nine-member team will continue to meet and develop proposals before full-scale negotiations begin sometime in the spring.

The Winpisinger Center staff and several departments at IAM Headquarters tailor each Negotiation Preparation Course for the specific contract and give negotiating committees valuable hands-on experience of what negotiations are like.
