Minnesota Retirees Form Machinists State Council

Retired Machinists in Minnesota join to form the Minnesota State Council of Machinists Retirees to effect change for retirees and working families in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

After much planning and collaboration, a core group of dedicated and persistent retired Machinists have officially formed the Minnesota State Council of Machinists Retirees.

The Council says its mission is to guarantee that the retirement years for retired union members will indeed be “golden.”

“The purpose of our Council is to develop activities to meet the personal, financial and physical challenges retirees face,” said Michael Madden, President of the newly-formed organization. “We want to harness the wisdom and experience of retirees to become a strong force in political and legislative issues that affect retirees, as well as all working people.”
