Enroll Now for Local Lodge History Project

The April 30, 2010, deadline is drawing near for participants to register for the upcoming Local Lodge History Project, a week-long program designed to help locals uncover, document and preserve the history of their local lodge.

The special program, held at the William W. Winpisinger Center, is conducted semi-annually and limited to 21 participants from seven local lodges. Locals choose three people to attend, including one active member and two retired members.

Among the topics covered in the program are how to organize a local lodge history project, how to conduct oral interviews, how to manage and preserve local lodge records and how to donate local lodge archives to the Southern Labor Archives at Georgia State University, the official repository of the IAM.

To register for this unique and valuable program, please complete and return the attached forms by April 30, 2010. Please contact WWW Center Instructor Greg Murray at 301-373-3300 with any questions or for additional information.
