The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE-IAM) and IAM Union federal workers recently attended union training at the William W. Winnisinger Center (W3) to become more effective labor stewards and advocates.
About 20 members, representing agencies such as the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Geological Survey, and IAM members who work at Pearl Harbor Naval Base in Hawaii, discussed the importance of protecting workers’ rights and maintaining scientific integrity against political interference.
The participants reflected on the rapid growth of unionization efforts following sudden changes to federal policies and workplace conditions. By studying labor law and organizational history, they aim to secure fair treatment and better representation for their colleagues nationwide. This dedication emphasizes the collective action taken by public servants to ensure their voices are heard and their professional contributions are respected.
