IAM Union International President Brian Bryant has appointed Ivy Geilker as a Special Representative for the IAM Healthcare Department under IAM Resident General Vice President Jody Bennett. The appointment is effective September 1, 2025.
Geilker has won multiple hard-fought organizing campaigns since she started with IAM Healthcare as an Associate Organizer. These new members of The Pharmacy Guild/IAM are pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff at multiple Fortune 500 companies, including CVS, Walgreens, and Safeway Pharmacy.
Before joining the IAM Healthcare staff in February of 2024, Geilker served as Senior Lead Organizer with the Colorado State Employees’ Union where she led a team of field staff responsible for representing workers in a wide range of environments, including state hospitals, The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, university campuses, and more.
“Ivy’s success in organizing pharmacists and technicians at major corporations has contributed to the IAM’s impressive growth in the healthcare industry,” said IAM Resident General Vice President Jody Bennett. “Her tireless work to build The Pharmacy Guild/IAM has given a voice to hardworking professionals who provide care to our families and communities.”
In her new role as Special Representative, Geilker will be responsible for negotiating contracts for pharmacy professionals who provide care for thousands of patients. She will also service new bargaining units and continue to run new organizing campaigns.
