The conference featured key speakers such as IAM Chief of Staff Vinny Addeo, who discussed the political climate in Washington, D.C., and its impact on union members, alongside a strong message about the necessity of fighting for union rights and refusing to be silenced. Richie Johnsen, IAM Air Transport Territory General Vice President, shared news that mechanics in the air transport territory, particularly at American Airlines, are achieving record-high compensation, surpassing $70 an hour. David Sullivan IAM Eastern Territory General Vice President, spoke to the delegates about the IAM standing strong for the membership against forces in Washington DC, who seek to destroy worker rights.

Additionally, the report highlighted the delegates’ overwhelming endorsement of pro-labor candidate Janelle Stelson for Congress in PA’s 10th district. It featured numerous other speakers who addressed topics ranging from union litigation and OSHA safety to anti-union campaign strategies and community projects. The report concluded with an emphasis on the vital importance of mobilizing members to vote for pro-labor candidates and Supreme Court judges in the upcoming Pennsylvania election.
