Are you a proud IAM member who wants to learn how to increase the role of women in your union? Or an aspiring human rights activist who wants to help combat bullying, discrimination and harassment? The IAM has the training for you.
The Women’s Basic Program and Human Rights Training classes will both be held May 31-June 6, 2015 at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, MD. The deadline to submit your registration is March 30.

The two programs are structured to provide practical information and guidance on how local and district lodges can establish viable Human Rights and Women’s committees and ensure they operate proactively. The curriculum for these programs is designed to provide a greater understanding of human rights issues and to promote invaluable discussion among the participants.
“The IAM is pleased to continue offering these two tremendous programs for our members,” said IAM General Vice President Diane Babineaux. “We’re proud of our continuing commitment to raising the profile of our IAM sisters and sounding the alarm of injustice and inequality wherever it may be.”
