Co-pay Change Reduces Cost for Amtrak Agreement Employees with Amplan Health and Welfare Coverage
TCU and Amtrak have agreed to adjust the co-pay amount for services rendered by Physical Therapists and Chiropractors to the same levels applied to those employees covered under the National R.R. Health & Welfare Plan. Therefore, effective February 1, 2009, co-pay amounts for services rendered by these providers will be reduced from $35 to $20. Amplan was already applying the $20 co-pay amount for services rendered by Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistants and will continue to do so.
The co-pay amount changes will become effective February 1, 2009 on a “date of service” basis, meaning that such office visits occurring on and after 02/1/09 will be processed at the new, lower co-pay level of $20 regardless of your medical vendor, i.e. United Healthcare or Tufts.
