In a letter sent to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, TCU President Bob Scardelletti extends TCU’s support to the Fox River Bridge Grant application submitted by METRA.
In the letter Scardelletti states:
On Behalf of theTransportation Communications Union/IAM (TCU) I write in support of METRA’s MD-W Fox River Bridge grant application…If Awarded the bridge improvement project will produce shorter, more reliable, and less expensive commutes; move freight more quickly and efficiently; and provide job creation in the region. METRA is a vital partner with rail labor and this project will help to protect existing jobs and put more people to work.
