Norfolk Southern Rejects Canadian Pacific Takeover

In a recent statement, Norfolk Southern said it rejected an unsolicited takeover by Canadian Pacific that would have created a transcontinental rail company.

Canadian Pacific offered cash and stock worth $37.8 billion for Norfolk Southern in what would have been the second-largest transportation merger in history.
