Major Supreme Court Decision Favors Rail Labor

Rail Labor scored a major victory. The United States Supreme Court rejected an argument by CSX Transportation that would have made it much more difficult for railroad workers to be compensated when they are injured on the job as a result of a railroad’s negligence.
In a letter to TCU Carmen Division General President Rich Johnson, TCU Designated Counsel C. Marshall Friedman said, “This is a big victory for railway employees and hopefully will put to rest the efforts by the Carriers to change this law.”
