Bush Administration Again Fails to Take Action

May 11, 2006 – The Bush administration has once again failed to brand China a currency manipulator in their semi-annual report to Congress, drawing criticism from both Democrats and Republicans.
By undervaluing their currency by as much as 40 percent, China has cost the U.S. millions of manufacturing jobs and pushed our trade deficit to astronomical levels. Yet, the Bush administration has yet to take significant action to put a halt to their unfair trade practices.
