Bush to Visit Beijing

November 14, 2005 – President Bush begins an eight-day swing through Asia today, during which time he will visit Beijing to discuss China’s unfair trade practices with Chinese President Hu Jintao.
Bush is expected to press China to curb piracy of American movies and other copyrighted material, revalue their currency and reduce their massive trade surplus with the U.S.
To this point, however, the Bush administration has taken a soft stance on forcing China to halt their unfair trade practices and analysts do not expect any deals to be struck during the visit.
