Buy American Improvement Act Introduced

February 21, 2007 – Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI) has introduced the Buy American Improvement Act, legislation that would strengthen the Buy American Act of 1933.
The Buy American Act requires the federal government to buy American-made goods whenever possible. However, the current law is full of loopholes that give agencies broad discretion to waive the requirement.
