Chinese Officials to Attend G-7 Meeting

September 20, 2005 – The Bush administration has invited representatives from China to attend a G-7 meeting hosted by Treasury Secretary John Snow and Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan on Friday.
The meeting will offer representatives from the U.S. and other large industrial nations to once again press China to reform their unfair trade practices and continued currency manipulation.
The informal discussions will offer the world’s seven richest industrial countries (U.S., Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan) to get the views of five rapidly developing nations, including China and Russia.
