EPI Report Outlines What’s Wrong With The Economy

June 20, 2006 – The Economic Policy Institute recently released a policy memorandum outlining what’s wrong with the U.S. economy. Key points included:
· Profits are up, but the wages and incomes of average Americans are down.
· More people are falling further into debt.
· Job creation has not kept up with the population growth and the employment rate has fallen drastically.
· Poverty is increasing.
· Skyrocketing health care costs are eroding families’ already declining income.
