G.M. Plans to Cut 30,000 Jobs

General Motors struck a blow to working families all over the country today when they announced they would be cutting 30,000 jobs and closing up to 12 manufacturing plants in the next three years.
G.M. is planning to shut down automobile assembly plants in Oklahoma, Michigan, Tennessee, Georgia and Ontario. They will also shut down seven parts factories and distribution centers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Oregon and Ontario.
