Video: U.S. Employment Numbers Still Lagging

MARCH 28, 2006 – Although the Bush Administration is touting the latest employment numbers as evidence of robust economic growth, the fact remains the economy continues to recover at a sluggish pace.

The Labor Department reported employers added 243,000 jobs last month which is strictly average employment growth.

Beth Almeida of the IAM Strategic Resources Department and Christian Weller of the Center for American Progress taked about the latest employment numbers and the importance of the employment to population ratio.
